David and Carolyn have their home on Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, some 8 miles from Drum Castle. They have three children.

Giving Back
David’s interests include Scottish history, the history of the Irvine family, gardening, reading and golf. He is a member of the Convention of the Scottish Baronage, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs of which he is the Treasurer. David is Treasurer of “Wallace 700” a local Aberdeen initiative to honour annually, the date of the martyrdom of William Wallace.
Both David & Carolyn have a long involvement in the Scouting movement, Carolyn being a holder of the Silver Acorn award, one of the UK’s highest awards for service. David is the Treasurer of the local County Scout Association. |
On their first visit to Glasgow KY in 1998, both David and Carolyn were honoured to be inducted into membership of the Kingdome of Hagar of Raknar. The Kingdome is the honoured Society this year in 2008, and they will be delighted to participate in the festivities.
David and Carolyn have been honoured guests in recent years at other Scottish Highland Games in the USA. These include Alma, MI; Loch Norman NC.; Heart of Tennessee TN, Stone Mountain GA. and Greenville SC. Since 1998, this is their third invitation to Glasgow, KY as Honoured Guests so Glasgow has a special place in their hearts because there are so many good friends met on earlier visits. |
